Hibiki 17 Year Old Blended Whisky 700mlThe Hibiki 17 Year Old Blended Whisky is made from a combination of malt whiskies from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries, as well as grain whisky from the Chita distillery. The whisky is then aged for a minimum of 17 years in a combination of American white oak casks, sherry casks, and Japanese Mizunara oak casks. with 12 hectares planted to Shiraz to produce a wine rich in character and complexity

The grapes are picked by hand and fermentation takes place in small open vats with manual pigeage

Pear and lime combines with soft vanilla fudge

The vibrant palate is smooth and even with an abundance of ripe berry and plum flavours intermingled with sweet oak nuances

Soil is King as the East côte has the least amount of clay and therefore least water-holding capacity resulting in it being harvested first even though it is the coolest côte of the three

this amber spirit delicately mixes sarsaparilla-like herbal notes and honey sweetness with just the right bitter edge
