These reels were made from 1993 by Ari "to satisfy the demand from the trade for a reel that possessed the essential qualities of all the other ATH reels" (paraphrased, thanks Klaus, author of the Ari 't Hart book). This 2. 5" diameter reel was made in Holland for the Zurich, Switzerland, tackle retailer HRH. These are not Anti Reverse reels as the name implies, but a light drag reel which

the butt provides ample backbone while the tips allow for finesse and delicacy

with the only sign of use I could find being one little scuff on the rim

The rotating line guard appears to be made from aluminum
