Orvis Battenkill Bamboo Rod - 8' 7wtFor sale here is an Orvis Battenkill 8 foot bamboo rod serial #62319 made in 1971. 4 3 8 oz. All sections are full length, straight and have never been repaired. The ferrules are 13 64. Excellent overall condition. Labeled for an 8wt line, but I would recommend a 7. Medium action. Original bag and replacement tube.

The varnish shows use and a few of the wraps and perhaps the entire rod may have received an overcoat of varnish at some time

Used but generally very good condition with one exception

The medium-fast dry-fly action is quite smooth and finds a terrific balance between the power of the swelled butt and the finesse and delicacy of the thin tips

The action is a powerful medium-fast and parabolic

This set is even more rare in that the reels have the all-black anodized finish
