Edwards Quadrate "Special" Bamboo Fly Rod 8' 2/2 #7A nice Edward Quadrate Special fly rod, 8', 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for what feels to me like a #7. 4. 6 ounces. Brisk action rod. Used condition but still original and straight with good ferrule fits. The varnish has some bag imprint from poor storage but does not currently feel soft. Random node spacing in flamed cane. This rod also comes with papers of provenance which detail it having been acquired in 1927 for the former owner

The rod is in excellent +++ condition showing only extremely light use

and is in excellent condition with with original bag and labeled tube

Agate line guide has one hairline crack

3 up node pattern and oven tempered cane

Reel comes with original tan Abel reel case and Wulff TT 6/7F line and backing

One small problem needs attention - one tip twists off to the right and the tip top has been set to line up with the lower guide
