Thomas and Thomas Bamboo Salmon Rod 9' 3/2 #9A Thomas and Thomas bamboo salmon rod, 9', 3 piece, 2 tips, and built for a #9 line. Serial #4277 with a 1986 manufacture date. The rod weighs a hefty 9 ounces on my scale (the label sticker states it as 5 3 4 ounces). Very light use with a grip with almost no hand soiling. Unfortunately the nickel silver uplocking screwlock has some damage due to what appears to have been a set of pliers which has also created a little cosmetic damage to the walnut
I bought this rod years ago from an auction house that described the rod as a "LEON HANSON" rod
The rod weighs 13 7/8 oz and the ferrules are size 19/64 and 25/64
An excellent overall example of a rare original Bougle
The grip has been done in a standard cigar
Six feet and eight inches in length
The ferrules are size 16/64 and 10/64 and the fit is perfect
The book is divided into four parts: History - Goodwin Granger Company
