Lot 204 - Antique Brass Hairpin Box with Embossed "I Need Thee Every Hour" Hymn Text and Hairpin Motif, Rope-Twist Border, 3-1/2" LAntique brass hinged hairpin box with an embossed lid reading "I Need Thee Every Hour" alongside a large hairpin motif, framed by a rope twist border. The phrase references the well known Christian hymn by Annie S. Hawks, here used as a hairpin pun. The interior is unlined. The box shows patina, verdigris, and scattered surface spotting throughout.
