Hardy Palakona "Gladstone" Bamboo Rod 7' 4wtFor sale here is an amazing Hardy Palakona "Gladstone" bamboo rod, handmade in Alnwick, England by Calum Gladstone. This one is 7 feet in length, two sections with two tips for a four weight line. Unused condition "near mint" overall. Beautifully flamed and varnished cane with striking golden nodes. Light yellow lime silks with red edges at the hook keeper, stripping guide, ferrules, and tip tops. German silver cap and ring over all cork reel seat.
7' 2/2 for a 5 or 6 weight line
Two small dings to the frame edge and some insignificant water marks that would easily polish out
The fighting butt is 5" in length and remains in excellent condition
For sale here is a very scarce Orvis fishing tackle catalog from 1965
Comes with original drawstring reel pouch and warranty card
