Serial #B24, indicating a rare circa 1947 Brooklyn made reel, and it has the Brooklyn stamp on the oil port as well (after two years of operation in Brooklyn, Zwarg moved his reelmaking operation to Florida in 1947. Zwarg, of course, had been the foreman at the Vom Hofe shop for many years). The reel is in good overall condition with

A nice Thomas and Thomas Beaverkill model fly rod

The cane is a classic Leonard straw color with deep crimson wraps

I cannot find any sign that this rod has been used

Full cloth two-toned binding

Comes with its original labeled bag and an aftermarket leather tube

so it's possible that one may have been replaced at one point
