RL Winston Vintage Reel 5/6An RL Winston Vintage 5 6 Limited Edition fly reel with a spare spool, 3 1 4" diameter and set up for RHW. This was part of a series made in the early 1990s by Siskiyou Design in Oregon USA. Good lightly used condition, with some minor rim rash on the frame edge, some faint mounting marks on the foot, and a bit of tarnish to the counterbalance. Very clean overall. In 1996 the rod was returned to Sam and the first owner's inscription was removed and signed by Sam and given a serial number

No issues to speak of other than the exterior leaded finish that now appears bright

On/off click button works as intended

The rear bakelite check is 5/8" long and has a hidden pocket cap for the uplocking screwlock

fore and aft at the ferrules

The replacement tip is also marginally less in weight (perhaps 1/2 a gram)

No repairs have been made to the cane

Reverse half-wells grip 6 1/4" in length and very smooth

The cigar-style grip measures 5 7/8" in length

Ribbed brass "bullet" foot appears to be a replacement by looking at the the back side of the reel foot pillar (see pics)
